Vertzami
Vertzami is a rare red grape strongly associated with Lefkada and also found elsewhere in western Greece. It is noted for very deep colour, black fruit and distinctive herbal aromas, with firm tannins and lively acidity. Careful winemaking can also reveal its character in rosé.
