Description
Markogianni Diagon Red has a deep ruby color. On the nose generous doses of cherry jam, sour cherry, blackcurrant, lavender, violet and eucalyptus. It has medium body, refreshing acidity and moderate tannins. Notes of cherry, red currant, vanilla, cinnamon, green pepper, cocoa and violet on the mouth. Spicy persistent finish.

Vertzami
Vertzami is a rare red grape most associated with the Ionian island of Lefkada, where it accounts for the vast majority of plantings, though it is also found sparingly in the western Peloponnese, Central Greece and Epirus. It produces almost black, densely tannic wines with a distinctive perfume of eucalyptus and cedar over dark fruit, needing patience in the cellar despite only moderate alcohol and body.

Markogianni Winery is a family business that has been active since 1982. Its main philosophy is respect for nature and the production of quality wines. In order to do so, the company's vineyards are cultivated organically and are certified by the DIO organization since 2001. In addition to their privately owned vineyards, the Markogianni Winery supplies grapes from selected vineyards in the greater area of Skillountia.
