Malagousia & Xinomavro & Assyrtiko
Malagousia is an aromatic Greek white grape brought back to prominence after becoming exceptionally rare in the 1970s. It typically combines peach, flowers and fresh herbs with a rounded palate. Now grown across Greece, it is used for expressive dry whites and some sweet wines.
Xinomavro is a red grape of northern Greece, central to the wines of Naoussa and Amyndeo. It is known for lively acidity, firm tannins and complex aromas that can include red fruit, flowers, tomato and olive. Alongside structured reds, it can produce rosés, sparkling wines and whites made without skin contact.
Assyrtiko is a Greek white grape originating on Santorini and now grown throughout the country. It retains lively acidity in warm, dry conditions and is prized for its texture, structure and mineral character. Beyond dry whites, it also makes rich sweet wines from sun-dried grapes.
