Description
The Kardasis ouzo is produced according to the family’s recipe. The components of this recipe are the combination of the right proportion of aromatic seeds and herbs. The extract of upper quality of seeds and herbs is distilled in a small copper still manufactured by Greek technicians in Istanbul. The distillation procedure is done really slowly. The extract is collected and after it is thinned out is stored in stainless tanks for a little time until the aromas are balanced.

Kardasis is a family distillery based in Tyrnavos, Thessaly — the birthplace of Greek ouzo, first distilled there in 1856. The Kardasis family's connection to the local vine trade goes back to the late 19th century, and the company itself, now in its third generation, was formally founded in 1991 by Konstantinos Kardasis. The family farms around 125 acres of its own vineyard, planted mainly with Muscat, which forms the aromatic base of its ouzo and tsipouro.
