Description
Roseus is a unique rosé from blending the main grape of Lemnos’ island, the floral Muscat of Alexandria, with the oldest referenced grape in the world and indigenous to the island’s volcanic soil, the spicy Limnio. The wine has a soft salmon color.The rose has aromas of red fruits, citrus fruits, nuts and notes of flowers to follow. The palate has a moderate body, crisp acidity and a good aftertaste.

Limnio & Muscat of Alexandria
Limnio is one of the oldest named grape varieties in Greece, believed by wine historians to be the 'Lemnia' grape described by Aristotle as the source of the famous red wine of ancient Lemnos. Grown today mainly in northern Greece, particularly around Halkidiki and Thrace, it produces moderately coloured, elegant reds with fresh herbal notes, red berry fruit and silky tannins.
Producer
Winemaker Manolis Garalis is a third generation wine grower on the volcanic island Lemnos in the North Aegean sea, who established his own winery in 2006. With his family - wife and two children - he works dedicated and specialized with the two local grapes of the island, Muscat of Alexandria and Limnio. The grapes are grown certified organic in volcanic soils.
