Xinomavro & Merlot
Xinomavro is a red grape of northern Greece, central to the wines of Naoussa and Amyndeo. It is known for lively acidity, firm tannins and complex aromas that can include red fruit, flowers, tomato and olive. Alongside structured reds, it can produce rosés, sparkling wines and whites made without skin contact.
Merlot is a red grape of Bordeaux origin, widely grown in Greece. It offers a supple texture and red and black fruit character. In blends, it can bring roundness and soften the impression of more firmly structured varieties such as Xinomavro.
