Description
A unique rose retsina that is made with a little pine resin addition. Aromas of dried strawberry, raspberry and pine needle. On the palate, melon and strawberry flavours are evident with a botanical undertone. A perfect wine for dishes with an olive oil base, fried sardines, and spicy Mediterranean sausages.

Mandilaria
Mandilaria is one of Greece's most widely planted red grapes, grown across the Aegean islands, Crete and into Central Greece — where in Evia it is known locally as Mavrokoundoura. It produces deeply coloured wines with firm tannins but only moderate body and alcohol, which is why it is most often blended with softer or more aromatic partners such as Kotsifali or Mavrotragano rather than bottled alone. Properly ripened, it gives aromas of dark cherry and black fruit alongside a distinctive leathery, earthy character.

“Aoton” in ancient Greek defines the “finest specimen of its class” and represents a winery dedicated to the production of fine wines in the same location where three generations ago, the family winery “Patitiri” was the community’s local press of grapes from the surrounding vineyards. In the heart of Mesogeia, the middle landplane between Athens and the Eastern coast of Attica, in Spata, Sotiris Gkinis, a dedicated oenologist himself, has revived the 10-ha large family vineyard, which is producing low yield, high-quality fruit. His wines are made exclusively from the three local varieties: Savatiano, Roditis and Mandelaria and have become highly praised by the discerning palates.
