The 2024 Tetramythos Black of Kalavryta displays a medium ruby hue, releasing a captivating bouquet of cherry, intriguing animal nuances, bright sour cherry, and ripe plum. Layers of spicy and botanical notes, including cinnamon, licorice, laurel, and eucalyptus, unfold beneath a subtle veil of butterscotch. On the palate, its medium body is supported by a balanced acidity and soft tannins, creating a harmonious structure for the juicy, rich red and black fruit flavours that are elegantly dressed with hints of cinnamon, fresh herbs, and a touch of coffee, leading to an enjoyable and persistent aftertaste.

A red grape variety of the Peloponnese, Kalavrytino Black has a fruity aroma and refreshing taste. It is vinified on its own or participates in red blends.
Producer
Established in 1999, Tetramythos winery has been the product of collaboration between the viticulturist brothers Aristides and Stathis Spanos and the oenologist Panagiotis Papagiannopoulos. Following the first wine releases in that year, new vineyards were planted in the following years and a modern winery was completed in 2004. The vineyards are situated on the slopes of the Mountains of Aigialeia, at an altitude of 450-1050m and cultivated organically. They benefit from a mountainous microclimate, limestone soil and exposure to the Gulf of Corinth breeze.
