Chardonnay is a white grape originating in Burgundy and now grown worldwide, including Greece. Its style responds strongly to vineyard conditions and winemaking: it can produce fresh, unoaked wines or broader, more complex wines shaped by barrel fermentation and maturation.
Malagousia is an aromatic Greek white grape brought back to prominence after becoming exceptionally rare in the 1970s. It typically combines peach, flowers and fresh herbs with a rounded palate. Now grown across Greece, it is used for expressive dry whites and some sweet wines.
Roditis is a pink-skinned Greek grape widely used for white wines. With careful vineyard management it can produce refreshing wines with lemony aromas and a light to medium body. It also appears in blends, rosés and retsina, showing considerable versatility.
Assyrtiko is a Greek white grape originating on Santorini and now grown throughout the country. It retains lively acidity in warm, dry conditions and is prized for its texture, structure and mineral character. Beyond dry whites, it also makes rich sweet wines from sun-dried grapes.
