Description
Kudos Cuvee is a blend of the Cretan variety of Kotsifali and the international variety Syrah. Aromas of cranberry, pomegranate and baking spices fill the nose. On the palate medium-bodied with bright acid. It is also quite expressive with flavors of raspberry and cherry. Kudos is a great complement to tomato sauce-based dishes like youvetsi and vegetarian dishes like stuffed vegetables.

Kotsifali is a red grape native to Crete, producing medium-bodied wines with bright acidity and red-fruit character — cranberry, raspberry and cherry — along with warm baking-spice notes. Its light colour and soft tannins mean it's often blended with deeper, more structured varieties like Syrah.
Producer
Dourakis winery is located in the mountain village of Alikambos, in Chania. The small family vines are scattered in the wider region on sloping and rocky ground, between the Cretan Sea and the slopes of Leyka Ori. The primary goal of the winery is the creation of high quality wines, with respect to the island's tradition, integrating the uniqueness of Cretan varieties and the organic cultivation of the vineyards.
