Markogianni Diagon Red has a deep ruby color. On the nose generous doses of cherry jam, sour cherry, blackcurrant, lavender, violet and eucalyptus. It has medium body, refreshing acidity and moderate tannins. Notes of cherry, red currant, vanilla, cinnamon, green pepper, cocoa and violet on the mouth. Spicy persistent finish.

Vertzami is cultivated mostly in Lefkada, other Ionian Islands and western part of the mainland Greece. It produces deep, almost black coloured red wines. It brings out herbal, forest and black fruit characteristics on the nose. It is rich in tannins and acidity.
