DESCRIPTION
Vidiano has a pale yellow colour. Aromas of apricot and citrus with hints of blooming herbs reveal the rich varietal character of Vidiano. The mouthfeel is velvety and full of texture with a strong presence of ripe fruit and minerality on the finish.

Vidiano
Vidiano is a white grape variety coming from Crete, used to produce white dry whites, sometimes aged in oak. Vidiano has been introduced to commercial production over the last decade. Vidiano originates from the prefecture of Rethymno but now new plantings spread out, not only to Crete but in other regions of mainland Greece as well.

Lyrarakis
A family-owned winery in Crete, Lyrarakis was established in 1966, but it wasn’t until 1992 that they first bottled their own wine using the Lyrarakis name. They are based in the Peza appellation, in the village of Alagni, Heraklion. Vineyard area is comprises of 14 hectares, with gravel over limestone soils. The warm climate is tempered by the altitude, which averages 550 m. Manolis Lyrarakis is a champion of local varieties, some of which have been rescued from near extinction. International varieties are also grown.
