As its name suggests, originated in Alexandria, Egypt, Muscat of Alexandria is believed to remain genetically unchanged since ancient times. Today it is produced broadly in Samos and Lemnos islands in Northern Aegean. It produces distinctive sweet, aromatic wine varieties.
